Part-time employment became my bridge connecting these two realms, aiding me in managing my finances and gaining an understanding of the UK market, especially from a marketing and customer experience viewpoint. My initial and most cherished position was as a MORA Content Creator with Imperial’s central marketing team. It was surreal to get paid for creating content for a prestigious university, and this experience significantly enriched my year.

Collaborating with the MORA team, producing content for over 700,000 individuals across Imperial’s social media platforms, was a fantasy. It revolved around storytelling, showcasing the student experience, mastering institutional communication, and grasping the tone and authenticity that resonate with various audiences.

None of this would have come to fruition without accepting that initial opportunity. The MORA team is welcoming, supportive, and encourages creative experimentation. Keep in mind, most part-time employers value reliability, proactivity, and friendliness just as much as experience.
**Balancing work and study**
Juggling work with classes necessitates careful planning. I accepted shifts exclusively when my class schedule was lighter. Your academics should come first, but a well-selected part-time job can enhance your studies. My marketing coursework gained greater relevance as I observed those concepts in professional environments.

Throughout my Master’s program, I ventured into various roles such as a waiter, event manager, barista, and bartender. Each position imparted unique lessons.
