For me, part-time employment served as a link between these two realms, assisting me in financial management and gaining insights into the UK market, particularly from a marketing and customer experience standpoint. My first and favorite position was as a MORA Content Creator with the central marketing team at Imperial. It felt surreal to be compensated for producing content for a prominent university, and the experience greatly influenced my year.

This position provided unexpected opportunities, such as interviewing notable figures like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. These moments wouldn’t have occurred had I not embraced that initial role. My marketing coursework became more impactful when I applied those concepts in professional settings.
