For me, part-time positions connected these two realms, aiding me in financial management and grasping the UK market, particularly in terms of marketing and customer experience. My initial and preferred position was as a MORA Content Creator within Imperial’s central marketing division. It felt surreal to receive compensation for generating content for a prestigious university, and the experience greatly influenced my year.<\/p>\n

Becoming a MORA Content Creator<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Collaborating with the MORA team, producing content for over 700,000 individuals across Imperial\u2019s social media platforms, was a fantasy come true. It entailed storytelling and sharing the student journey, learning institutional communication, and recognizing the tone and authenticity that resonate with varied audiences.<\/p>\n

This position presented surprising opportunities, such as interviewing notable figures like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. None of this would have been possible without embracing that first chance. The MORA team is supportive and nurturing, offering a creative environment for experimentation. Keep in mind, most part-time employers look for dependability, proactivity, and friendliness, not solely experience.<\/p>\n

Juggling work and classes necessitates careful planning. I accepted shifts only when my class timetable was lighter. Your degree must remain the top priority, but a well-chosen part-time job can enhance your education. My marketing coursework felt more significant when I encountered those concepts in actual job settings.<\/p>\n

Throughout my Master\u2019s, I explored various roles such as waiter, event coordinator, barista, and bartender. Each job imparted something distinctive.
