The next awakening is the unique professional environment, where work dynamics, communication styles, and creative expressions differ markedly from your home country.<\/p>\n

For me, part-time positions served as a link between these two realms, aiding in financial management while gaining insights into the UK market from the perspectives of marketing and customer experience. My inaugural and favorite job was as a MORA Content Creator with Imperial’s central marketing division. Getting paid to produce content for a leading university was surreal and positively influenced my year.<\/p>\n

Becoming a MORA Content Creator<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Collaborating with the MORA team to generate content viewed by over 700,000 individuals across Imperial\u2019s social media platforms was a dream come true. It included storytelling and sharing the student narrative, mastering institutional communication, and grasping the tone and authenticity that appeals to varied audiences.<\/p>\n

This position provided unbelievable opportunities, such as interviewing prominent figures like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. These encounters stemmed from saying \u201cyes\u201d to a minor opportunity. The MORA team is nurturing, supportive, and allows creative freedom for experimentation. Managing work alongside classes necessitates organization. I opted for shifts only during lighter class schedules. Keep in mind, your degree must take precedence, but a thoughtfully selected part-time job can enhance your studies. My marketing coursework became more significant as I observed concepts in action through real-world jobs.<\/p>\n

Exploring different part-time jobs<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Throughout my Master\u2019s program, I explored various positions such as waiter, event coordinator, barista, and bartender. Each job imparted valuable lessons. Hospitality roles taught customer service, patience, collaboration, and maintaining composure in challenging situations. These skills have lingered with me long after leaving the caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

From a financial viewpoint, part-time roles were crucial, allowing me to cover rent, travel, and living costs, while also saving a bit. As an international student, I was permitted to work up to 20 hours per week during the academic term and full-time in vacations, striking a balance between earnings and rest.<\/p>\n
