The second awareness is the unique professional culture, where work, communication, and creativity are viewed differently than in your home country.<\/p>\n

For me, part-time employment served as a link between these two realms, assisting in financial management while providing insights into the UK market, especially regarding marketing and customer experience. My inaugural and preferred position was as a MORA Content Creator with Imperial’s central marketing division. Being compensated to generate content for a prestigious university was extraordinary and had a positive impact on my year.<\/p>\n

Becoming a MORA Content Creator<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Collaborating with the MORA team, producing content for over 700,000 individuals on Imperial\u2019s social media platforms, felt like a dream come true. It encompassed storytelling and conveying the student experience, learning institutional communication, and grasping the tone and authenticity that resonates with a varied audience.<\/p>\n

This position provided unforeseen opportunities, such as interviewing notable personalities like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. None of this would have been possible without accepting that initial opportunity. The MORA team is encouraging and fosters creative experimentation. Imperial\u2019s Careers Service can aid with CV development, interview practice, and job hunting. Employers often look for reliability, proactivity, and a friendly disposition, not solely previous experience.<\/p>\n

Juggling work and academics necessitates careful planning. I organized my shifts when my course load was lighter. Keep in mind, your degree is paramount, but a well-selected part-time job can enhance your studies. My marketing assignments became more relevant when applied to real-world roles.<\/p>\n

Throughout my Master\u2019s program, I explored various jobs like waiter, event manager, barista, and bartender. Each position imparted something distinctive.
