For me, part-time positions bridged these two realms, assisting in financial oversight and offering insights into the UK market, especially from a marketing and customer experience viewpoint. My first and most valued position was as a MORA Content Creator with Imperial’s central marketing team. Getting paid to produce content for a prestigious university was extraordinary and profoundly impacted my year.<\/p>\n

Collaborating with the MORA team to generate content for over 700,000 followers on Imperial\u2019s social media felt like a dream come true. It entailed more than just filming or writing; it revolved around storytelling, sharing the student journey, mastering institutional communication, and appreciating the tone and authenticity that connect with diverse audiences.<\/p>\n

This position presented unforeseen opportunities, like interviewing prominent figures such as Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. Such experiences wouldn’t have materialized without seizing that early chance. The MORA team is supportive, encouraging, and offers creative latitude. As an international student, I could work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays, achieving a balance between income and rest.
