Regardless of whether you arrive weeks in advance or right before the semester starts, here\u2019s the guidance I wish I had received.<\/p>\n

Prevent costly hotel bills by arranging your accommodation ahead of time. I got lucky, but that\u2019s not the case for everyone. Seek a place that\u2019s conveniently located near your campus or a dependable Tube line to skip lengthy commutes to morning lectures.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019re in London, promptly tackle the following necessities:<\/p>\n

    At first, I struggled with the Tube and buses, resulting in a nine-kilometre trek across London. To prevent this, obtain a Student Oyster card and apply for the 18+ discount for more affordable travel.<\/p>\n

    Walking remains an excellent way to navigate the city and uncover hidden treasures.<\/p>\n

    Discover Your Comfort Zones<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    London can feel overwhelming. Find a favorite spot, like a local park or the O2 for movies, to take a break and recharge.<\/p>\n

    Identify your own spaces, whether it’s a cafe, bookstore, or a riverside bench, to relax and enjoy the city.<\/p>\n

    Get to know the neighborhoods surrounding your campus and residence. Identify nearby supermarkets, pharmacies, parks, and your go-to food or coffee places.<\/p>\n
