I was lucky, but not everyone has that fortune. The best options vanish quickly, so seek a residence near your campus or a dependable Tube line to minimize long commutes for morning classes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Key Life Administration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Upon reaching London, tackle these essential tasks swiftly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Money Transfers \u2013 As an international student, find a dependable, budget-friendly method to transfer funds from home. Applications like Wise or Revolut provide more favorable exchange rates.<\/li>\n<li>UK SIM Card \u2013 Navigating without data can be challenging. This week sets the stage for your university experience.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Travel Wisely in London<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>During my first week, I struggled to grasp the Tube and bus system, resulting in a nine-kilometer walk across London. It was memorable yet chaotic. Obtain your Student Oyster card and request the 18+ discount for economical travel on the Tube and buses. Walking remains an excellent way to explore and uncover hidden treasures.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Identify Your Comfort Zones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>London can be emotionally intense. Having a go-to place is beneficial. My preferred location is a nearby park where I relax daily. My second choice is the O2, just a 10-minute trip away, where I catch movies every week.
