In addition to gaining technical skills, I was drawn to the innovative and flexible nature of academia. My enthusiasm for science flourishes when I am involved in subjects that resonate with me, hence I opted for a PhD project that truly captivated me. The freedom to steer my own project is a noteworthy benefit and one of my preferred elements of pursuing a PhD.<\/p>\n
