In addition to technical training, I was drawn to the autonomy and innovation that academia provides. My enthusiasm for science flourishes when I’m engaged in subjects that resonate with me, so I opted for a PhD project that truly sparked my interest. The freedom to direct my project is a significant advantage and one of my favorite elements of pursuing a PhD.<\/p>\n
