For me, part-time roles bridged these two realms, assisting me in managing finances and grasping the UK market, especially from a marketing and customer experience viewpoint. My initial and favorite position was as a MORA Content Creator within Imperial’s central marketing team. Being compensated to produce content for a prestigious university felt surreal and greatly influenced my year.
Becoming a MORA Content Creator
Producing content for over 700,000 individuals across Imperial’s social media platforms made collaborating with the MORA team a dream come true. It encompassed storytelling and conveying the student experience, learning institutional communication, and comprehending the tone and authenticity that appeal to varied audiences.
This position provided unexpected chances, such as interviewing public figures like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. These encounters would not have occurred without embracing that initial opportunity. During my Master’s studies, I experimented with different jobs such as waiter, event manager, barista, and bartender. Each position imparted distinct lessons.
