For me, part-time employment bridged these gaps, aiding in financial management and providing insights into the UK market, particularly in terms of marketing and customer experience. My inaugural and most cherished position was as a MORA Content Creator within Imperial’s central marketing division. Being compensated to develop content for a prestigious university felt surreal and significantly enriched my year.

Keep in mind that your degree is paramount, yet a well-selected part-time position can enhance your studies. My marketing coursework gained greater significance when applied in practical roles.

Throughout my Master’s program, I experimented with various jobs, including waiter, event manager, barista, and bartender. Each position imparted unique lessons. My time in hospitality taught me vital customer service skills, patience, teamwork, and remaining composed under duress. These abilities have remained with me long after leaving the café.
