For me, part-time positions connected these two spheres. They aided in managing my finances and grasping the UK market, particularly from the angles of marketing and customer experience. My first and most cherished job was as a MORA Content Creator with the central marketing team at Imperial. Earning a paycheck to generate content for a prestigious university felt surreal and positively influenced my year.

This position presented unexpected chances, including interviewing public figures like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. None of this would have been possible without saying “yes” to that initial opportunity. The MORA team is welcoming and supportive, offering creative space to try new things. Most part-time employers prioritize reliability, proactivity, and friendliness, not solely experience.
**Balancing work and study**
Managing work alongside classes requires careful planning. I accepted shifts only during lighter class schedules. Keep in mind that your degree should come first, but a well-suited part-time job can enhance your studies. My marketing coursework gained more significance when applied to real-world positions.
**Exploring different part-time jobs**
Throughout my Master’s program, I experimented with various jobs such as waiter, event manager, barista, and bartender. Each position imparted something distinctive.
