For me, part-time positions served as a connector between these realms, aiding in financial management and providing insight into the UK market, particularly in marketing and customer experience. My first and most cherished position was as a MORA Content Creator with Imperial’s central marketing division. Being compensated to generate content for a prestigious university was an extraordinary experience that positively influenced my year.
**Joining as a MORA Content Creator**
Assisting the team and producing content for more than 700,000 individuals across Imperial’s social media platforms was a dream come true. It encompassed narrative crafting and sharing the student journey, mastering institutional communication, and grasping tone and authenticity for varied audiences.
This position provided unparalleled experiences, including interviews with notable figures like Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty. None of these moments would have been possible without accepting that initial chance. The MORA team is supportive, uplifting, and fosters creative exploration. If you are passionate about storytelling and keen on engaging in exciting content projects, this is one of the finest part-time positions at Imperial.

There are numerous avenues to discover part-time work at Imperial. I came across mine through Imperial’s internal job portals on JobsLive, LinkedIn, and career fairs during Welcome Week. Employers value reliability, initiative, and friendliness, along with experience.
**Managing work and studies**
Successfully juggling work and lectures necessitates organization. I accepted shifts when my class timetable was less demanding. Your studies should come first, but a well-suited part-time job can enhance your educational journey. My marketing classes felt more relevant when linked to actual job experiences.
**Trying out various part-time roles**
During my Master’s, I explored different roles such as waiter, event coordinator, barista, and bartender. Each position imparted distinct skills.
