Students can procure a 16–25 Railcard for discounted national train fares and a student Oyster card for navigating the city. Request that Tube station personnel link your railcard with your Oyster card to benefit from a 30% reduction on off-peak Tube fares. Personally, I save about £50 monthly on travel with this method, a tip I wish I had learned earlier.
