A couple weeks ago, I was interviewing fashion editor Becky Malinsky for our newsletter Big Salad. “Go against any color rules,” she told me. “I always wear white after Labor Day — there’s nothing more glamorous than a white skirt with black tights.”
After hanging up the phone, I decided on my outfit for a party I was hosting that weekend: a white dress with black tights (I actually wanted sheer but they annoyingly ripped as I pulled them on, so I went with opaque). Later, I laughed when my cousin Olivia walked in the door — she was wearing white and black, too!
